Sofie has been running late today. She had over slept because one of her sisters had been making noise all night long and kept her up pretty late. She had no idea what they had been doing, but they had been making tons and tons of noise. She and almost moved the curtains to the side to see what the heck was going on when she finally past out. So when she woke up she started to run around to get ready as fast as she could.  She was going to miss training with her normal group of girl, but she knew that the Vikings and thegns would still be training at this time of the morning at least. She would just have to train with them instead. Which wasn’t a problem for her per say, its just they were mostly a lot stronger then her. So she was going to at least get a good training in, and most likely get her ass handed to her. Wouldn't that be just nothing but embarrassing, and Sofie wasn't about that this morning. She was already tired and in a bad mood. She didn't need anything to add to her already bad mood.

When she was finally ready she grabbed her sword and ran out the door without eating anything at all. She was going to be very hungry when she was all finished with her training.  As she approached the training area she could see that she was in fact right. That most of the female warriors had already left and finished their training. In there place were the Viking men and thegn men. Looking around Sofie tried to see if she saw anyone she knew at all. Someone who would be nice and want to train with her without beating her ass into the ground. After a few moments she spotted her friend Aros. He was a little bit older than herself, and already a Thegn. She knew he was a strong and good fighter, but his age kept him from being a Viking already. Sofie knew that as soon as he was old enough that he would become a Viking, and maybe even higher as time went on. He had been sent here a long time ago because of his skill as a child after all.

Smiling at him Sofie slowly walked her way over to him. “Good morning Aros, do you by chance need a training partner?” She asked him as she approached. He seemed to be alone at the moment, but that didn’t mean he didn’t have someone else just not there at the moment. She hoped he was free and wanted to train. She had known him for years now, and knew he wouldn’t go to crazy on her. Not that the enemies would hold back, she was just tired today. “If you don’t it’s okay. I’ll ask someone else.” She said next. She didn’t want him to feel like he had to train with her, there were other people she could train with. She just knew him a bit better then some of the other vikings in the area. Sofie made a mental note to yell at her sister for keeping her up so late, and making her miss training with the people she normally trained with.

Aros was up at the crack of dawn, he didn’t like sleeping in. No, he just wanted to train each day, each hour, each minute if possible. His training hadn’t started yet tho, that was the only reason why he was walking around in the village with a few other thegn’s who were busy talking about some girls. Always the same kind of thing with them, not that he minded tho. But sometimes they could act so immature that he could bash their heads in but off course he didn’t. Not because he couldn’t do it, but because it wasn’t very good on his reputation if he was walking around bashing some other Thegn’s head in. At least not when he was sober. Eventually he cracked a smile when they were walking in to the forest. Time to get some hunting done before the training started. Always a good way to kill time, a way he loved spending his time.

His light eyes were focused on a wild boar that was roaming the floor on the lookout for food itself. The other guys were a little bit further backward so he was the first one who spotted it. He signed the others to be very still. Not that those twats listened to him anyway. No, a guy older then him came running ahead with his axe held high ready for attack. Something that scared the wild animal. Immediately the wild boar bolted and raced of into the deep forest. Which made young Aros very annoyed. ‘Are you that stupid?’ He yelled loudly, it was obvious the young lad was angry at his older friend who only looked at him with an annoyed look. Angrily he pushed the other boy against his chest, the other one stepped backward a bit but pushed back even harder. Until one of the other guys came in between them before the fight could escalate in to something more. Aros turned around still angry and walked away from the three others.

Eventually the young lad found himself back in the village, right in time for training. Good, the perfect way to let out all the anger. A shield was thrown at him which he caught easily. Time for some fighting! The first pound on his shield meant nothing. Swiftly Aros dodged another hit and tapped the other with his word on the shield. It was a soft tap, but he moved around so fast that he almost immediately landed another blow on the shoulder of his opponent. A big smile appeared on his face. ‘Come on, you can do better!’ He taunted the other boy who had just recently become a thegn. The fight continued, strikes with the sword were delivered quite fastly and harsh. Until the other one was called away by someone else.

It wasn’t until that moment that someone else caught his eye. Someone like Sofie. Aros raised an eye brow when the girl asked him if he had a training partner. Aha, the little one missed practice so it seems. ‘You are one lucky girl today. My other training partner was a little bit overwhelmed by my skillset.’ He spoke jokingly on the matter. She knew he was always fooling around, eventho she had seen him fight enough to know he was a good fighter. But nonetheless, Sofie was becoming a great fighter too. ‘But come on, we aren’t getting better with just standing around.’ Softly he pushed against her shoulder, while he made the distance between them a little bigger so she could get ready.

Sofie felt a smile come onto her face as she saw him look at her. At least it seemed like he had noticed her and wasn't annoyed with her being there. ‘You are one lucky girl today. My other training partner was a little bit overwhelmed by my skillset.’ Aros said to her when she had asked him if he had a training partner. Her smile grew at his words. At least now she was going to be able to train with someone who would not try to kill her with their skills. He was much stronger then her, she knew that, but he liked to mess around like she did form time to time. "I don't think that will be a problem here. I think I can be a good match against you" she said to him with a smirk. Sofie was just messing around before they got into the real business. She knew that training with him was going to be hard, and that she was going to be so tired later, but at least she would have someone to joke around with a bit. Aros was a good friend, he was a bit older then her, but he was fun to talk to and train with back when he was a Frú like herself. He had always been a good friend to her.

Then he spoke again ‘But come on, we aren’t getting better with just standing around.’ he said before he gave her a little push away from him. That of corse made her raise an eyebrow at him. She watched as he made he distance between them a little bit bigger. So they were just going to jump right into this? This was a lot different from when she trained with the girls. They would at least talk a little bit together before they threw themselves right into training. However she wasn't with the girls, and this would help her get ready for a real battle sooner rather then later. Maybe training with Aros would help her get ready to take on that bitch of a shield maiden that was always talking badly about her family. If she could do well against Aros, she could take that women on. The look on her face when a seventeen year old was able to take her down would be worth training with the viking men instead of the Frú women. "Thats true" she says to her friends words.

Backing away herself, Sofie got into position and got her sword up and ready for him."Just don't kill me okay." she says to him jokingly before she raises her sword and takes a strike at him. One that she saw him move away from rather easily. She got ready to block him from the side, and they hit their swords together hard. She could feel his sheer strength in his hits. This was going to be a rough day if this was how the whole training was going to go. Sofie knew she would need a nap later just to gather her energy back up. She moved her body back and went to strike him from her left, almost dancing around the yard as their swords hit one another once more. She had been able to hold her sword a little bit better that time. This went on for a few moments before Sofie moved back and looked at him. Waiting to see what he was going to do next. So far they had been blocking each others blows, but she was getting tired, and he looked like he wasn't even sweating at all yet. "Your move." she told her friend next as she got ready for him to come at her once more.
