It was in the mid-afternoon of the day. Tobias just got through getting what supplies he needed for the day. Taking them back to the little place he called a home. Making sure everything was organized before his stomach and mouth started to show signs that he was getting hungry. Plus thirsty after many hours of being out in the village. Now he had to go back in the village to go to the tavern. This was not his day was it?

Taking a moment or two to even figure out did he really need to go to the tavern? There were plenty of things to drink around the house. Yet, he was alone and sometimes it was hard to drink alone. Especially, if you wanted to drink sorrows away.

Walking out of the house and got up on his horse. The big black gelding, ranging of sixteen hands high was grazing and was disturbed. Yeah well, he was not getting a choice today. Normally, Tobias would allow him free reign, but his legs were a little tired from his return home that riding wouldn’t be such a bad idea.

Making way into the village, it was a little snowy and the ground was covered in mushy snow. It was pretty though of how it fell.

Once getting closer to the tavern, he went to dismount from his horse. Patting it on the shoulder. Grabbing the reins and tied them loosely to the post. His almond eyes scanned the area. Hating to be this far into town. Pressing his lips and went to walk into the tavern.

Hearing all the laughter that was going on and then of course the all famous fighting going on. Wondering what it was over this time. Shaking his head and went up front. Ordering his all favorite ale. Ale was something he had always ordered. There was some drinks that he tried, but always went back to the same.

While awaiting for his drink to come he started to observe more. Licking his lips as he did so.

It had been a long night so far at the tavern. So far things had been far more busy then she thought they were going to be. Mostly because she was suppose to have the night off and the other women who worked at the tavern hadn't shown up for the second time in a row. Alvina wondered how the other women still had her job, but she guess she shouldn't complain to much. She was still getting money, and this would just help her get ever closer to her goal of buying a house and becoming a real member of this village. So that her and the baby in her belly would be able to have a good life here. She wanted to try and get to a place in her life where her little child was never going to want for anything. So that she would be able to provide to her child anything and everything it could ever want. So working more like she was right now, even though she was so tired, would just have to be something she was going to have to ender. For the outcome was going to be worth it someday as well.

Alvina had been working more on her jewelry more and more since talking to Cecilie. With the hope of being able to make a actual living out of that and making more money even faster. She had been so worried she was not good enough to sell things on her own, but Cecilie had been sure to tell her she was good. So Alvina had been spending most of her free time when she wasn't with Vern, Cecilie, or working on making more and more pieces.Coming out of her own mind and her thinking when she heard someone calling for a refill, Alvina pushed her thoughts away and made her rounds with drinks. Filling up almost every table as she makes her way around the room. As she is almost done she sees a man she is sure she hasn't seen before in all the months she had been living here siting at a table by himself. He looked friendly enough, but anyone new always made her worry. What if the king had sent someone to spy and find her. Not only would they find her, they could find Vern too. Something the both of them did not want.

So she put on her brightest smile and made her way over toward the man. "Hello, do you need a refill yet sir?" she asks him as she holds up the pitcher of ale she had in her hand. "Did you have Ale or something else? I can happily get you whatever you need" she says to him next with the same smile still in place. Doing her best to look calm and collected as she stands there and worries. Something she was sure was just because she was so tired and ready for the baby to just make its entrance already. It was making her more paranoid, that had to be it.

Someone Out There [Alvina Odinsdóttir] Tumblr_inline_mjhds9mE7Q1qz4rgp

As he was nursing his ale a bit, he caught a few fights here and there. Tobias went to shake his head. Why would one want to fight over a lady? They were not property at least not in his eyes. Just some men loved to fight it out. Actually, to him it was like watching five-year old’s that never grew up. Smirking a little as he went to nurse his ale once more. There were other conversations about harvest for next spring and how that would unfold. Thinking about joining into that, but then again, he was not good at the farming thing. He was learning however. That would make him even more of a hermit and stay at home.

He was taken out of his thoughts when a young woman approached him. Running a thumb over the top of the cup that he had in his hand. Sadly the ale had dropped to the end of it. Much like there would have been a whole in the cup. That was not the case here. He just drank that much and did not pay attention.

Seeing the pitcher in her hands and nodded in a kindly gesture, ”I had Ale, and it does seem I am coming up short,” he replied to her. He did not think he was hungry that was til his stomach started to talk for him. Trying to think what he was in the mood to eat. Nothing was coming to mind. ”What would you suggest to have for a snack, here?” he asked. Noting that she was with child the way she held herself, but did not want to impose. That was her own business and sure he was bold, but why be right out and ask about it? There was a time for that later.

PostSubject: Re: Someone Out There [Alvina Odinsdóttir] Someone Out There [Alvina Odinsdóttir] EmptyThu Feb 22, 2018 9:15 pm

Alvina made sure to keep her smile on her face as she saw him nod his head at her in a friendly manner. ”I had Ale, and it does seem I am coming up short,” the man says to her and it is Alvina's turn to nod her head at him. She filled his cup up with more Ale and smiled at him. So far he seemed to be a nice enough man. So many she shouldn't let her mind run wild just because she had not seen him before. Alvina was sure she had not seen every person in this village before, and she could have gotten worried about someone who lived here his whole life. That would be unkind of her, to judge people before knowing them more. For she didn't want people to do something like that to her. However she was going to make sure she kept her guard up all the same. Alvina was just going to do her best not to be so scared this man was some stranger out to get her. Even if was going to be hard, for that was her worry about everyone new person she ran into. That they were going to find out her secret and send her back to the demon that she had escaped.

She hears the man in front of her speak to her again. Bringing her from her thoughts and worries. ”What would you suggest to have for a snack, here?” he asks her and Alvina has to think for a moment. She likes all kinds of food, but that was because she was with child. Her baby would eat anything and everything. Alvina had been lucky that she didn't have any kinds of food that had made her feel sick yet. Something she had heard most women had dealt with when they were with child. After thinking for a few moments she smiles.  " A lot of people like to get the bread and cheese as a snack when they come in. Or the stew, but thats more of a meal." she says to him first before adding in  "But I like the fire roasted potatoes with a bit of cheese added on top. she says to him next before letting out a small laugh.  "My idea of a snack is different then your perhaps. For I am eating for two." she tells him as she looks down to her belly.

Feeling her little one more around in her stomach was her favorite part about being pregnant. It had been so strange and weird the first time has had felt it. However now she was so use to it, that she was glad for it. It was a way for her small little one to tell her that they were doing well and were happy in her belly.  "So what which would you like?" she asks him next with a smile as she placed her hand on her stomach. Feeling the little foot as it kicked out at her with a smile on her face.

Someone Out There [Alvina Odinsdóttir] Tumblr_inline_mjhds9mE7Q1qz4rgp

As the young woman went to fill up his cup with more ale he gave an appriative smile. Tobias wanted to be somewhat fair to her. Or what he could be in a village tavern. Wondering how she could handle to work with all these men. Maybe it was for money, for which he could understand that. A living is nice and it was not common to see many women gaining independence for that she gained honor at least to his eyes. Putting the cup to his lips as he went to nurse it a little before placing back on the table that it had been on before she had refilled it.

Bread and cheese. Tobias glanced over to some of the table that had such a snack. Not a fan of cheese persay, but bread did not sound too bad. Chuckling a little hearing her mentioning the stew would be more of a meal. Didn’t think that stew would be the best bet for now. His stomach was hungry though and wanting him to make a decision and fast it would seem. Watching the young woman start to place her hand on her stomach when she had mentioned she was feeding for two. Yeah, that would make more sense to have more of a snack than someone else that chose bread and cheese. Got to think of the little one growing inside. ”I think I will try the bread and fruit,” he said. He was not going go the cheese route.

Now back to her stomach before he looked back to the young woman, ”How far along are you?” he asked, the bold questions were starting to slip out. Why keep that in? It was only a question and one that she could disclose or not that was all up to her. This was their first meeting after all. He did not even know her by name.

”Sorry uh, I’m Tobias, and you are?” he asked, and went to introduce himself while he was thinking about it. That was why his brother called him the rude one at times. Okay so he lacked some manners so did many of the men here in the village. No one was perfect. Othello had proved that he was trying to be high and mighty. That was not the case here.

The man seems to prove that he is not someone she should be super worried about as he smiles at her when she fills his drink. He is at least not as bad as some of the men that come in here. Some will flirt with her, others because she is unwed will make inappropriate suggestions of her sleeping with them. Like she is nothing more then a whore. Not all of them are bad of course, or she would have left her job a long time ago. However the ones that did act like that were the ones that made her nervous and worried about men around her. They were the kind of men that would remind her of Vidar. How he viewed her as nothing but and object and something to warm their bed. If she was honest, they were the men she wanted to dump their drinks onto their heads and walk away. However this was her job, and as she had nothing else set in place. She had to make sure to keep everyone happy. Even if it meant that she was not happy herself. Alvina just wants a job that would pay her well and be something she was going to love. Maybe someday she could sell her Jewelry for a living.

She makes sure to smile when she hears him say ”I think I will try the bread and fruit,” to her as his choice of snack. Nodding her head at him, she was just about to walk away to get him his snack when she hears the man ask her. ”How far along are you?” Alvina bits her lip for a moment as she looks at him. She didn't know this man, and she wasn't sure if she felt safe telling him this kind of information about her. However he hadn't done anything to make her feel as if he can't trust him. ”Sorry uh, I’m Tobias, and you are?” the man, Tobias says to her next. Smiling at him she say "Hello Tobias, its nice to meet you."  to him first before adding. "My name is Alvina, and I'm full term. So I'm actually due any day now." she tells him next.

Alving quickly walks over to get his snack before walking back to him and setting it down in front of him.Thinking for a moment she decides to ask what she had been thinking about "Ive never seen you here before. Are you visiting, or have I just missed you every time you come in?" Hopefully she was wasn't being to bold with her words to him, but then again she needs to remember she is a free women here. She can ask things like this to people without having to worry.

Nodding gently towards the young woman who went to introduce herself. That was a beautiful name to his ears. Tobias went to smile and heard that she was starting to be due any time now. Guessing she had lucky man that was going to be a father as well. Gosh he assumed a lot at times. That was certainly his downfall, ”It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Alvina,” he replied and tilted his head for a moment, ”Guessing your lover is happy as well for the babe?” he asked with a raised eyebrow. Since he saw no reason that she was married. Since he doubted her husband would want her to work in a tavern.

Seeing her walk away to get his snack. As he waited for her return he went to take another sip of his ale. Once she had returned he looked up to her and then back at his food. It looked fresh and could not wait to have a taste. Placing his hand on the bread and started to break it up.

Shaking his head a little, ”Yeah, I don’t get out much. Also it is a rarity for me to be in a tavern,” he went to explain. Taking a bite of the bread and went to chew it. Swallowing it before he went on to tell the tale, ”I live on boarder line of the village, just not a people person I guess,” he replied with a small shrug.

Someone Out There [Alvina Odinsdóttir] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Someone Out There [Alvina Odinsdóttir] Someone Out There [Alvina Odinsdóttir] EmptyTue Feb 27, 2018 7:55 pm

the smile came onto her face the more she spoke to him. He was nice, and a lot of her worries from before were slowly slipping away more and more. If he had some kind of ill will toward her she as sure he wouldn't have wasted this much time with talking to her and trying to get to know her a bit like he was doing. It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Alvina,” she hears him say to her in return and it just makes her smile more. However what she hears him say to her next makes her smile fall and makes her feel uncomfortable all at once. ”Guessing your lover is happy as well for the babe?” were his words, and she wasn't really sure what to say to him in return. She had never had a love, and her child was based on being attacked? That wasn't something she wanted her child to someday hear when they were older. Alvina was sure that would not be something easy to hear, that you were born from rape. Plus she wasn't sure if she wanted to share that kind of thing with a stranger as well. She didn't know Tobias even if he did come off very nice.

Taking a deep breath she bit her lip for a moment before deciding to say "It's a rather complicated situation...I don't have a man in my life like that." she settles with. "Its just me and the baby...well and some friends who are helping too." she says to him next. Making the smile come back onto her face as she looks at him. Alvina hopes that her answer is good enough and that he wont ask to much more, but if he did she would understand. Complicated things made people more curious it was just in their nature. She was sure she would be wanting to ask more questions too if she was in someone else's shoes. She goes to get his snack and comes back. Hoping to change the subject and make things less awkward for the two of them.

Tobias breaks his bread before he addresses her question. ”Yeah, I don’t get out much. Also it is a rarity for me to be in a tavern,” he tells her and that makes her nod her head. However she wanted to know why he didn't come out much, but she didn't have to wonder for long when she heard him say ”I live on boarder line of the village, just not a people person I guess,” to her next. She nodded her head at him again before giving him another smile. "That makes sense to me." she says to him first. "people aren't always the greatest to be around." she adds in next with a shrug of her own. " So is it rude of me to ask what it is you do for a living?" she decides to ask him next. Wanting to be polite to him. "Are you a farmer or something?" Alvina adds in next.

Someone Out There [Alvina Odinsdóttir] Tumblr_inline_mjhds9mE7Q1qz4rgp

Tobias noted that her smile faded , which was a shame her whole face went to glowing when she smiled. Maybe he struck a nerve without even knowing. That was his fault to be honest. He did not know Alvina's history or anything just that she looked like she was expecting and had thought she had a lover. He needed to stop when he was ahead. Complicated that was his thought when she had her smile fade away. "At least you have some help with the baby when he or she comes," he replied , keeping the male part out. Just a shame...who would dare to leave someone as pretty as Alvina? He just met her and he thought she was nice and fine woman.

Seeing the smile of hers return well, it was good that she had a plan of sorts. Complications were never easy. He dealt with them whenever his brother was near by. So, he had a different sort of complications but none of the less could feel her pain minus the baby part. Taking a bite of the snack she had brought out to him and it was very good to say the least.

"Some people..." he said and shook his head. He was not much of a people person, but he was trying his best. His brother again was much better at it than himself. "I actually write music and sing songs," he replied. He did not think it was rude to ask it was curiosity and he did not mind it at all. His parents were farmers...but he wanted something different and not go off to war. Singing helped him out actually and could tell he helped out others while doing it too.
